Bio-Basic Information-
Character Name: Rock, known to the world as Rockman. (Mega Man is not a name known to him, as it was never used in his universe)
Character Type: Main
Character's LJ: blue_hero
Place of Origin: Rock is an AU version, based on the Ariga Hitoshi mangas as much as possible and mixed a little with the Classic Japanese games. In relation to the game timeline, he is between Rockman 7 and Rockman 8. Zero and X are unknown to him, and probably have not been in the process of being built yet.
Armored Description: Rock’s armor is light blue, with darker blue gauntlets and boots. He has several visible panels in his armor, including two in the middle of his oversized boots, two on his gauntlets, and one on his chest. He also has a dark blue raised collar with a central panel. All of these panels will not open without his authorization or codes from Dr. Light, although if access is gained to his body, they can be hacked or pried open through great pressure.
Rock’s armor was made to withstand several different harsh conditions, but it is not perfect. For example, Shadowman’s shuriken or Cutman’s scissors can slice right through it if traveling at enough speed. Several powered shots to one area can crack/melt though it. His gauntlets and boots are more reinforced than his lighter body armor, which needs to be thinner in order for maximum maneuverability.
Weapons-wise, Rock has the ability to copy and use the weapons of his robotic foes for a limited number of shots. He can shot one-hit shots, capable of cutting through concrete and regular steel; rapid shots, several of which can melt through reinforced metal if fired at the same place, and charged shots, which can cut through reinforced metal with less shots. He is agile and fast, with the ability to spot patterns and weaknesses in his opponents’ attacks.
For comparison, Rock’s armor and weapons cannot compare to the X series weapons, though they are equal to the Classic game stats.
Unarmored Description: Somewhere around five feet, Rock looks like a boy of 11 with brown hair and wide green eyes. He usually wears a dressed down version of a Japanese schoolboy uniform, sometimes with the over-jacket unbuttoned and sometimes carrying it over his shoulder.
-History and Personality-
Passing for Human: Rock can both eat and absorb energy in order to recharge, although absorbing the energy is the more efficient way. He has taste buds to assist in his ability to smell, and likes eating because ‘it’s fun’. He sleeps to recharge, but if his energy is too low he has to be hooked up to an early form of the X series capsules to prevent him from flat-lining. He appears human, but his skin feels odd to the touch, like a flesh-like plastic. Underneath his clothes, he has two panels that are visible his abdomen and back.
Backstory: Rock accessed Reality Vanish by accident by trying to reach home from the Nexus. He was utterly fascinated with the place until he realized that he no longer could go home—his attempts to reach it from the Nexus keep bringing him back to Reality Vanish.
Rock’s past follows the games loosely, but with an Ariga twist. The original six robots created by Dr. Light and stolen for the first game were reprogrammed to be good. Now he considers them his brothers, and along with Roll, Auto, the pets, and Dr. Light, he lives relatively happily.
Between major wars with Wily, the evil scientist’s attempts to gather resources for his next big takeover usually result in the terrorizing of cities and large areas of destruction. Rock, as a result, is used to seeing human death and knows he can only do what he can in such situations.
Rock’s relationship with his brother is one of the only things that troubles him about his life. He wants to be closer to his older brother, but Blues’ actions have shown that he is chaotic and untrustworthy. Rock welcomes his help when it is offered, but the blue bomber knows he can never, ever trust Blues.
Personality in a Nutshell: Rock is very energetic, bordering on hyper. He’s innocent and trusting, and acts very much like the boy he looks. He’s easily fooled, but only once by the same person. However, Rock has an alter side to him, the side he uses when he’s fighting Wily or dealing with Blues. He’s serious and focused, willing to do whatever he needs to in order to win the day and ensure peace. Some of his decisions and failures, including is inability to save his copy, haunt him, but he will never admit to anyone.
